Fools for Christ Festival

Frisbee, nose flutes, Jeopardy and Mass… It was a great day on Long Island, New York, with five performances, five presentations, four activities, two sacraments and over three hundred fools. Highlights included concerts by Audrey Assad and Righteous B, a new Fools for Christ theme song written by Popple, and an intense frisbee football match with the Sisters of Life. In one “unscripted” exchange onstage, Justin Magaldi, founder of Fools for Christ, and Kyle Heimann of Popple talk about frisbee, nuns, and long pauses. In a closing Mass, Fr. Brian Barr of the Diocese of Rockville Centre challenges the audience to fulfill the call to be rescuers to those around them.

The full preview video, the theme song video, and Fr. Barr’s full homily are downloadable, free. Filmed at the first annual Fools for Christ Festival, Adelphi University, Garden City, New York, July 6th 2013; sponsored by the Catholic Ministry Team.
