That We May Live

Originally written and staged in 2012, “That We May Live” is a modern interpretation of the traditional Catholic Stations of the Cross.  This play and the supporting materials are free to download and use for any production at no cost and with no special permission.

Standing at the foot of the cross with characters not much different from ourselves, we see not only how greatly we have offended Him, but also how great His love really is.

The play is simple and performable with a minimal budget and minimal acting expertise. The ending can also be altered to transition directly into the Sacrament of Reconciliation, making a complete Lenten Penance Service.

Originally produced by the student organization Veritas and St. Thomas More University Parish on the campus of Bowling Green State University, March 2012.
